Prof. Dr. Olena Korzun

Olena Korzun ist Doktorin der Geschichte, Spezialistin für die Geschichte der Agrarwissenschaft. Ihre Forschung konzentriert sich auf die Geschichte der Wissensgenerierung in wissenschaftlichen Gemeinschaften, ihre organisatorische Entwicklung und die sozialen Aspekte der Epistemologie in modernen Agrarwissenschaften. Sie ist Dozentin an der Nationalen wissenschaftlichen Agrarbibliothek der Nationalen Akademie der Agrarwissenschaften der Ukraine in Kyiw. Ihre aktuellen Forschungen befassen sich mit der Geschichte der Zusammenarbeit zwischen deutschen und ukrainischen Wissenschaftlern auf dem Gebiet der Agrarforschung im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert. Dieses Projekt wird durch ein Stipendium der Сarl Friedrich von Siemens Stiftung finanziert.

Kurzbiographie

Doctor of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor. She studied history at Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University (1996-2001), agrarian sciences at Vinnytsia Agrarian University (2005-2007). She received her degrees of Candidate of Historical Sciences (2010) and Doctor of Historical Sciences (2020), studying the history of agrarian science. She is a researcher at the National Scientific Agricultural Library of the National Agrarian Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (since 2018). She taught History of Science at National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsya (2007-2017), Agrarian History of Ukraine at the National Scientific Agricultural Library (2020). In her current research project, she studies the relationship and mutual influences between German and Ukrainian scholars in the study of agrarian issues at different stages of historical development in the period XIX - I half of the twentieth century. In her previous researches she studied general characteristics and tendencies of agricultural experimentation in Ukraine during the period of the World War II (2019) and the regional aspect of origin and formation of agricultural experimentation in Ukraine in late XIX - early XX centuries (2011). She is a member of editorial board of project "Agrarian science of Ukraine in persons, documents and bibliography", where she participated in creation of collections of documents illustrating scientific support of Ukrainian agriculture 1940-1946 (2012) and 1920-1930 (2020-2021). She is also a participant of international scientific schools: "The Road to Democracy" at the Institute of Political Science at Warsaw University (2008), "New Methods of Scientific Research" at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research at Warsaw University (2010). Research Fellow of the Museum of Polish History of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Poland (2011), German-Ukrainian Commission of Historians (2019), European cooperation in science and Technology (2022), the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (2022). Member of research group “Practices of Validation in the Biomedical Sciences” of the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (2022-2024).
