Prof. Dr. Elena A. Vishlenkova

Elena Vishlenkova ist Professorin für Geschichte und eine Expertin für die Geschichte des Zarenreichs und der Sowjetunion. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich der Medizingeschichte, der visuellen und der Bildungsgeschichte des Russischen Reichs.

An der Higher School of Economics in Moskau hat sie 2012 das Zentrum für Universitätsstudien gegründet und 2019 das Zentrum für die Geschichte der Medizin. Sie war Gastprofessorin an den Universitäten Tübingen (2006), Mainz (2008) und Regensburg (2010) und leitete von 2019-bis 2021 zusammen mit Prof. Andreas Renner ein deutsch-russisches Forschungsprojekt zur Geschichte der Medizinischen Geografie im Zarenreich. Ihre aktuellen Forschungsschwerpunkte sind die sowjetische Biopolitik, die Geschichte des Pharmamarktes und die sowjetischen Gesundheitsreformen.
